AECO HubTM

Three facilities form Rockpoint’s AECO HubTM, the largest trading hub in Western Canada.

Suffield Facility

Located approximately 48 km northwest of Medicine Hat, Alberta, near the NGTL System's Eastern Gate, the Suffield facility provides direct connectivity to major Canadian and U.S. natural gas markets through the TC Energy Mainline, Foothills, and Northern Border pipeline systems.

The facility consists of 58 storage wells across five storage reservoirs connected to a central processing and compression facility, supported by approximately 36,150 horsepower of compression.

Countess Facility

The Countess facility is located approximately 97 kilometres east of Calgary, Alberta and is connected to the NGTL System through a large-diameter pipeline which offers direct access to Western Canadian natural gas supplies and demand markets.

The facility consists of 27 storage wells across two gas storage reservoirs. Each storage well is supported by a dedicated gathering pipeline system and connected to a central processing and compression facility with electricity-generated compression of approximately 34,500 horsepower.

Warwick Facility

Located approximately 113 km east of Edmonton, Alberta, the Warwick natural gas storage facility, is directly connected to the NGTL pipeline system. The Warwick facility benefits from a low reservoir pressure, enabling natural gas injection without compression.

The facility consists of 16 storage wells and provides customers with efficient access to Western Canadian natural gas markets.
